Testing. Supply. Installation.
Emergency lighting is a legal requirement for most premises other than private dwellings.
The type of emergency lighting you need for your premises and how it should be sited is determined through a Fire Risk Assessment.
Emergency lighting should be tested every month (you can do this yourself), and a discharge test every year by a qualified electrician who will issue a test certificate. The NI Fire & Rescue Service will want to see this certificate and your own monthly test records when they’re carrying out a Fire Risk Audit of your premises.
If you need emergency lighting installed or tested… or if you would just like some advice, Fire Safety & Compliance NI can help.
