Servicing. Supply. Installation.
Many types of premises are legally required to have a fire alarm installed.
Whether or not you need one – and which type – is determined through a Fire Risk Assessment.
If an alarm is required for your premises, you should test it every week. You also need to make sure that it’s regularly serviced by a qualified engineer – how often depends on the alarm system and battery type. For some, it’s every three months; for others every six.
The NI Fire & Rescue Service will want to see your service and weekly test records when they’re carrying out a Fire Risk Audit of your premises.
If you need an alarm system installed or serviced… even if you would just like some advice, Fire Safety & Compliance NI can help.
